Reach thrilling heights, and learn about the science and history of electricity production in BC!
One of North America's largest and most modern hydro-electric developments, the Revelstoke Dam is located only a few minutes’ drive north of Revelstoke. At 175 metres in height, the dam is a must-see attraction, with a visitor centre open to September 1st.
New to the visitor centre are 14 interactive displays, a First Nations gallery, and theatre. Discover how the project was built, how water is turned into energy, and don’t miss out on a self-guided tour that'll take you on an elevator ride to the lookout at the top of the massive concrete structure.
Rates are incredibly affordable. Adults pay just $6, youth (6 to 18) and seniors pay $5, and children 5 and under are free. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible, and open from 10 am to 4pm.
