Beadtrails are a fun and affordable way to collect beautiful pieces of meaningful jewellery.
Beadtrails was created in Summerland in 2010 by Karen Griggs. At present there are nine Okanagan communities for you to explore: Kelowna/Lake Country, West Kelowna, Peachland, Summerland, Naramata, Penticton, Okanagan Falls, Oliver and Osoyoos. The beads can be found in Okanagan wineries, campgrounds, restaurants, boutiques, art studios, Summerland Visitor Centre and other fantastic places in the region! Each business has its own unique signature bead for you to find and collect.
The BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association is pleased to support the Beadtrails initiative.
The picture on the right is the Dogwood Flower, this bead was chosen as it is the focal point of the Associations logo. This bead is available at two locations:
To collect beads you will also need a bracelet, wearing one with the beads creates a conversation piece with each bead telling its own unique story. To find out more about the beads why not visit the following social media sites which include pictures and stories about the beads and why they were chosen by businesses.
