Green Tourism helps lodging and camping businesses attract more guests and reduce operating costs. We provide expert advice and guidance through a one-on-on assessment of your businesses, looking at areas ranging from energy, water and waste, to communications and community. Green certified members receive marketing support, including links to your website and a 1-minute video about the green things that you are doing in your business.

Gold member and Strathcona Park Lodge owner, Jaime Boulding said that “ Being part of Green Tourism has helped us to stay competitive. We offer a true, off-grid experience and with the growing competition, this certification gives us a competitive advantage.”

Another Gold member and SunLund By-The-Sea RV Park & Cabins Co-Owner, said “It was tough to meet some of the standards, but it’s worth it in the long run because now our visitors are able to practice low-impact camping with a clear conscience.”

The Green Tourism program is the largest and most credible sustainability certification program for tourism businesses in the world, helping more than 2,000 businesses reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impacts, which in turn saves money and helps meet the growing traveller demand for responsible business.

Members who implement the advice of Green Tourism assessors have saved an average of 20% on their energy, water and waste-related operating costs.
