A West Coast Wilderness Playground - For those who like to cruise the ocean and the open road.
Pedder Bay RV Resort and Marina is situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, surrounded by forest and ocean. Offering the best of both worlds, the resort is in a beautiful wilderness area and yet it’s only 40 minutes away from the picturesque capital city of Victoria BC. You can truly have it all… explore the scenic parks and trails, get out on the water to fish, kayak, or sightsee, enjoy the shopping, culture and charm of the city, or just kick-back and relax.
Open since 2009, the resort features fully serviced oceanfront sites (some complete with cedar sundecks) as well as pull through sites set amongst the trees. Full services include 30 and 50 amp power, cable TV, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, private showers, a Coffee House, Snack Bar, and Gift Shop.
It’s the ideal base for exploring, with four Regional Parks nearby and an extensive network of picturesque trails, including the spectacular Coastal Trail in East Sooke Park just up the road.
Pedder Bay also offers a full service Marina with fuel dock, a three lane boat launch, boat rentals and fishing charters. Stay for a while and moor your boat for the season, or rent one for the day. In the heart of some of the finest fishing grounds on Vancouver Island – the locals refer to these waters as “The Salmon Freeway.” People fish out here with great success for Coho, Sockeye, Chinook and Pink Salmon as well as Halibut and Crab.
Take a kayak out for a tranquil paddle around the sheltered inlet or hop aboard a fully equipped 20’ Boston Whaler for some serious guided fishing.
Nothing says a west coast vacation better than warming up by the campfire each evening as you cook your freshly caught Dungeness crab or salmon. Wake up gently in the morning to the sound of the eagles whistling overhead and let us make you your favourite coffee as the sun rises on a new day of exploration.
Maybe take a boat trip along the coast to spot Orca and Humpback whales, bald eagles, otters, porpoises and colonies of sea lions. Enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty of Juan de Fuca Straight against the backdrop of the Olympic Mountain Range and Race Rocks Marine Reserve.
