The Stave Falls Visitor Centre sits on the Maple Ridge border and is the site of the original Stave Falls powerhouse that first produced power in 1912. Today, it’s a designated National Heritage Site that highlights the history of power electricity in the province. Back then, who would have known the opportunities that electricity would give us in the future? Stave Falls was the cornerstone of B.C. Hydro’s operations as it grew throughout the province.
