Q. What taxes will I have to pay on my accommodation?
A. All accommodation in British Columbia is subject to a 12% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) and in some communities, an additional local tax of up to 2%.

Q. Where can I make a complaint about a lodging property?
A. Complaints about accommodation facilities should first be discussed with the manager of the establishment and, if not resolved, be directed to the Tourism Product Manager, Tourism British Columbia, 3rd floor, 1803 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC V8T 5C3 or email productservices@gov.bc.ca.

A. To make a reservation at a BC Select Lodging property, contact the property directly.

Q. What credit cards are accepted in BC?
A. Generally, both Visa and MasterCard are accepted at BC Select Lodging accommodations. Other credit cards may also be accepted.

Q. Are properties inspected by an independent body?
A. Tourism British Columbia inspects all accommodation properties in BC with respect to standards of maintenance, cleanliness, comfort and professionalism. Accommodation establishments who meet the standard may display the "Approved Accommodation" sign.

Q. What room rates are quoted on this website?
A. Room rates quoted range from the lowest rate to highest rate for both the low and high seasons in British Columbia. As rates are subject to change, it is suggested you contact the lodging directly to confirm rates.
