The BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association fall 2020 webinars series has concluded. The next series will be posted in January/February 2021 and will run from March through May, 2021. Below are the links to the recordings and details of the fall series.
The webinars all happen on Wednesday’s and start at 10:00 am pacific time zone. Operators can register for the FREE webinars they want to attend just by clicking on the unique links. Webinar reminders via email are sent to registrants along with the recording after the event.
Wednesday, September 30 – 10:00 am – 11:00 am – Campground Bookings and the value of online reservations at your park during COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond. Presenters Heath Padgett and Kate Kingman, Campground Booking with guest Cara Braeutigam, Canadian Camping and RV Council.
Cancelled -Wednesday, October 7 -10:00 am – 11:00 am – 2020 Fire Season Review & Prevention Best Practices. Forrest Tower (Communications and Engagement Specialist, BC Wildfire Service) will present an overview of the 2020 fire season with a look at historical and emerging wildfire trends within British Columbia. The new BC Wildfire App will be discussed, with an emphasis on use for BCLCA members. Kelly Osbourne (Fire and Fuel Management Officer, BC Wildfire Service) will give an overview of fire management practices, including examples of joint BC Wildfire Service, industry, and tourism projects.

Michael Tiojanco, former digital marketing manager for Camping World will share some of the best practices on how to use digital marketing to attract more guests at your campground. Michael has run hundreds of larger scale social media campaigns across the country and will share how campgrounds can leverage social media to grow their business as well.
