Board of Directors

BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association is governed by a volunteer Board of dedicated individuals elected by the members of the Association. The directors are all owners or managers of accommodations in British Columbia.

President, Jamie Cox – Jamie joined the Team of Parkbridge Lifestyles Communities in 2014, managing Gallagher Lake Resort, in South Okanagan, one of the 38 national resorts owned by Parkbridge. Gallagher has grown in double digits since 2014, from 7,000 to 18,000 annual guest nights.

JJ Belanger

Past President, JJ Belanger – General Manager of the spectacular Crystal Cove Beach Resort in Tofino, BC where he oversees the daily operations of this award winning year round resort that is comprised of 70 full service RV lots and 34 modern beachfront and beach view log cabins.

Jim Humphrey – formally owned and operated Beaver Lake Resort – a 64 site RV, tenting and cabins resort – in the Cowichan Valley. Beaver Lake Resort has been a member of the BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) since 2001 and Jim has been on the board of BCLCA for the past 13 years.

Vice President Campgrounds, Marilyn Stone Marilyn is the Operations Manager for Duckworth Management Group which includes the operations of Fort Camping RV Resort (Fort Langley, BC); Dogwood Campground (Surrey, BC) as well as Apex Mountain Lodging (Penticton, BC). Marilyn has been in this position since 2002.

Vice President Lodging, Jeffrey KirkmanDevelopment Manager at Cheekye Ranch located in Squamish, Jeff is currently working on his Master of Arts in Tourism Management at Royal Roads University and is an active member in the British Columbia Lodging and Campground Association as well as the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds.

Barry Burko

Treasurer, Barry BurkoBarry owned and operated a strata management company specializing in condo-hotels in Whistler BC for 22 years. Four years ago, he sold that business and moved to the Okanagan where he bought a summer campground Whispering Pines RV & Tent in Mara BC with his wife.

Philip Wiebe

Director, Philip Wiebe – Philip is co-owner of Christina Pines Campground, Christina Lake, BC with his wife Elvira. Around the campground Philip is Mr. Maintenance and the campers’ DIY advice guru.

Barry Zwueste

Director, Barry Zwueste, St. Eugene Golf Resort Casino, Cranbrook, BC in the capacity of CEO overseeing the hotel, golf operations, and the RV Park. Barry has an extensive and successful background in the tourism and hospitality industry primarily in Alberta and British Columbia. He is currently serving as a Director for the BC Hotel Association.
