2023 Online Auction Benefiting Care Camps of Canada runs until May 31, 2023

BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) is proud to support Care Camps of Canada. Working together, for the past two years members of the Association and BC Care Camps supporters have helped raise $11,715.00 and counting through the annual auction and fundraising events.  The auction is open to consumers to bid and features items such as fantastic get-aways to campgrounds and resorts, digital gift cards and more.

Care Camps – Registered Charity

Care Camps is a registered Canadian charity founded by campground owners that helps kids with cancer experience the healing power of the outdoors by sending them to specialized oncology camps serving every province in Canada.  At Care Camps, kids get all the medical care they need, along with counselling, and they do it all surrounded by the healing power of nature.  Care Camps allow kids with cancer to connect with other kids who understand exactly what they are going through, creating friendships that last a lifetime.  At Camp, kids can forget about the chemo, the radiation, and all the hard stuff that comes with cancer….and just be a child again.  Will you help us get these children outdoors?

Want to Donate?

Just because the Auction has started doesn’t mean donations are closed.  We will still accept your Auction donation up to May 24th, especially digital gift cards! Donating a digital VISA gift card is a wonderful way to contribute to the auction, as it provides the recipients with the flexibility in choosing the items they desire. Even if your company doesn’t have its own gift cards, you can still participate by offering a gift card from a local business. This allows bidders to support local businesses while enjoying the benefits of the auction. Your donation will surely be appreciated and can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children living their life with cancer.

Bidding and Support Options

You have plenty of time to participate and/or contribute to our fundraising efforts.  It’s an excellent opportunity to support Care Camps of Canada while potentially getting a fantastic holiday, a new product or gift cards and more and it runs until May 31, 2023, at 9:00 PM PT.

Have you ever bid on an item, just so you could support the auction?  Well, now you can help here too, even if you didn’t win.

You can click on the Yes! Donate this amount if I lose button (we are excited about this option).

There is also Overtime Bidding. Those of you who are fluent in the world of bidding sites will find this a breeze, but some will not know, please don’t miss out on this.  Have you ever bid on something and in the last two minutes you remembered you wanted to bid again – well this gives you that opportunity as an overtime bidder.  It gives that an extra two minutes on the clock to continue the frenzy of bidding for what you want.  At the end of the auction a two-minute timer will begin, but if anyone bids in those two minutes, the timer automatically resets and starts another two minutes until two minutes have lapsed and the last bid wins – how sweet is that?

Another new feature this year is the buy it now button.  If you don’t want to wait until the end of the auction – hit the button and claim a personal victory on your item, right away!  Happy Bidding!
