Kilby Park Campground

Located where the Harrison and Fraser Rivers meet, Kilby Park is a scenic riverside campground combining peaceful camping with rich pioneer history and exceptional wildlife viewing. Surrounded by sandy beaches, nature trails and open green space, it is an ideal destination for families, birdwatchers, boaters and anyone looking to experience one of the Fraser Valley’s most picturesque settings.

The campground features 41 reservable sites, along with 6 first-come, first-served sites, with a mix of treed and open camping areas. This is a dry campground with basic facilities including pit toilets, picnic tables, fire pits and potable water. Two comfortable glamping tents provide an alternative for visitors looking for a little extra comfort while still enjoying the camping experience. A boat launch, sandy beach and day-use area make it easy to enjoy paddling, fishing or simply relaxing beside the river.

Just a short walk away, the Kilby Historic Site features a restored 1906 General Store Museum, heritage buildings, farm, Café and Gift Shop, where visitors can experience life along the Fraser River in the early 1900s. Exhibits and programs share the story of Harrison Mills during an era when sternwheelers, railways and ferries connected this small community with the growing communities of the Fraser Valley.

Kilby Park is also well known for its spectacular seasonal wildlife. During the autumn salmon run, hundreds of bald eagles gather along the Harrison River, while winter brings migrating trumpeter swans from Alaska, making the surrounding area one of British Columbia’s remarkable wildlife-viewing destinations.

Kilby Park is operated by the Kilby Heritage Society, a charitable, non-profit community organization that also operates the nearby Kilby Historic Site on behalf of the Province of British Columbia.
