The modern Yurt is an adaptation of the shelter used by Central Asian nomads for centuries. But today these structures have wooden floors, open space design and many have full services and an outside deck to barbecue.
Tent cabins are usually built on a platform and comfortably hold 4 – 6 people each. Each tent cabin is ideal for individual families that would like a taste of camping but are not equipped with an RV. They are a cross between an A-frame cabin and a prospector tent mounted on a raised floor. Each comes with a range of amenities.
Teepees (Tipi) are already set up on site and you bring the sleeping and cooking equipment. Sizes vary from one to three rooms. Teepees can be on a bare floor or a raised platform.
Most Yurts, Tent Cabins and Teepees require you to bring your own sleeping and cooking equipment. A large number are located at campgrounds or RV parks. They are often collectively known as a type of glamping.
