Northern BC RVing

The northern part of British Columbia is a vast area that touches on Alaska, the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Alberta.  RVers and campers travel to Northern British Columbia to experience the fishing, wildlife, great open scenery and heritage towns.

The Yellowhead Highway, Hwy 16, crosses the region from McBride to Prince Rupert, and continues by ferry to  Haida Gwaii. Along the way travelers will drive through Fort Fraser and Burns Lake, the heart of BC's Lakes District then on to Smithers which sits at the base of Hudson Bay Mountain offering an abundance of trails, salmon fishing and golf. Further west into Kitwanga visitors can admire the totem poles of the Gitxsan people. Alaska Highway, Hwy 97, stretches north from Prince George to Watson Lake. Rolling hills, forests, winding rivers and lakes make for a stunning drive. The towns of Mackenzie and Fort St. John offer RVers places to stay.

Need a place to park your RV or motorhome, the RV parks and resorts in the Northern British Columbia can be searched by activities such as "wildlife", "hiking" or "fishing", or geographical terms such as "Moricetown", "Telkwa" or "Vanderhoof".

Plan ahead by checking out the attractions and things to do in the Northern British Columbia.
