British Columbia has various coastal and inland ferry routes.

Coastal Ferries

BC Ferries operates between the British Columbia mainland (Metro Vancouver) and Vancouver Island (Nanaimo and Victoria) as well as the Gulf Islands and Sunshine Coast. Check BC Ferries for all schedules. 

BC Ferries also operates the Discovery Coast Connector (between Port Hardy and Bella Bella, Shearwater, Klemtu, Ocean Falls and Bella Coola). Other routes are the Inside Passage, Mid Coast and Bella Coola routes, as well as, the Haida Gwaii route.

There is a per person and vehicle fare schedule to travel on BC Ferries. You can make reservations and find sailing schedules and prices online at www.bcferries.com

BC Ferries also offer vacation packages for travellers. 

Inland Ferries

Inland ferries, operated by the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure, cross lakes and rivers around the province. These ferries are all free of charge. For inland ferry schedules click here.
