Burton Historical Park Campground

Set on the shores of Arrow Lakes between Nakusp and the Needles Ferry, this community-operated campground offers a relaxed lakeside setting in the heart of the West Kootenays. Spacious campsites are spread among mature trees, with many overlooking the water and surrounding mountains, creating a comfortable place to unwind whether you're staying for a night or a longer holiday. The campground features 37 campsites, including serviced and unserviced options for RVs and tents, with several pull-through sites available.

Guests have direct access to a sandy beach, boat launch and dock, making it easy to spend the day swimming, boating, paddling or fishing on Arrow Lakes. Modern washrooms with hot showers, a sani-dump, picnic areas, firepits, horseshoe pits and volleyball courts add to the campground's family-friendly atmosphere, while nearby hiking trails, mountain biking routes, golf courses and natural hot springs provide plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding region.

Open from May through mid-October, the campground is a convenient stop for travellers exploring the scenic Highway 6 corridor or discovering the quieter side of the Kootenays, where lakes, mountains and small communities set the pace.
