Charlie Lake, Northern BC
Charlie Lake is a small community located approximately 7 km (4mi) north-west of Fort St. John along the Alaska Hwy 97.
Paleo Indians lived in the area over 10,000 years ago as evidenced by the find of a spearhead, a large flaked stone chopper, and small soft-stone bead in the Charlie Lake Cave. Charlie Lake was formed by ice-damming of the Peace River many years ago.
