Canadian RVing and Camping Month

Canadian RVing and Camping Month Dates:  June 1 – June 30, 2025!

• Campers know that camping provides the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and fresh air.
• Campers know camping is where families can affordably gather to forget about the hustle and bustle of the city and appreciate the natural world.
• Campers know camping outdoors in British Columbia offers a sense of tranquility and wellness that is hard to find in any urban environment.

Canadian RVing and Camping Month (previously week for the past nine years) is designed to encourage Canadians and international visitors to get outside to enjoy a fun, safe and secure camping experience with family and friends.

The month is organized and sponsored by the Canadian Camping and RV Association and proudly supported by the BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association to:

1. Promote the lifestyle associated with camping and RVing a beloved part of Canadian culture.
2. Promote responsible behaviour and respect by asking people to follow and take the Camper’s Code pledge.
3. Raise funds to send children with cancer to camp via the charitable organization Care Camps Foundation (Canada).

Since 2015, Camping Month (formerly camping week) has been recognized annually by the Province of British Columbia who issue a proclamation to proclaim “RVing and Camping Week”.

Campgrounds and RV Parks in British Columbia that contributed to the 2024 fundraising for the Care Camps Foundation, either through auction donations or direct monetary support, are marked on the map below. We encourage consumers to support these businesses year-round and get in touch with them directly by clicking on the map’s placemark pins. Reservations are recommended.

SENDING CHILDREN WITH CANCER TO CAMP

The BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association 2024 annual online auction closed on May 20^th and raised $4,959, for a running total of $21,537. It is not too late to contribute as people can directly donate to the cause, just tap and donate.
