Apex Mountain Village

Apex Mountain Resort is a charming village that has a reputation as one of North America's finest ski destinations. Nestled at the base of spectacular Apex Mountain, the village basks in a picturesque backdrop, with 1,112 acres of ideal fall-line skiing and snowboarding suitable for all skill levels.
Location

Apex Mountain Resort is located in the Okanagan Region of British Columbia, and is easily accessible by both air and ground transportation. It is 405 km (240 mi) east of Vancouver and 33 km (21 mi) west of Penticton.

A 35-minute drive from the Penticton Regional Airport makes Apex Mountain Resort the closest interior ski resort to an airport. The Kelowna airport is approximately 90 minutes from Apex Mountain Resort. Airport transfers and car rental packages provide several options for ground transportation between airports and the resort.

  • Skiing & Snowboarding

In under six minutes, the high-speed quad chairlift takes you to the top of the mountain. From there, you can access 1,112 acres of magnificent fall-line skiing and snowboarding. While Apex has more than its share of challenges for expert skiers, Apex Mountain - Snowboarding  -  Tourism BC-Don Weixlwith 67 runs, the area also offers beginner and intermediate skiers an inspirational experience on gentle rolling cruisers, groomed to perfection. Guests will love the Snow Sport and Adventure Centre, an innovative service, which incorporates the Ski and Snowboard School and the Rippin Rascals Kid's Club and is the central reservations point for all resort activities.  

  • Cross-country Skiing

Nickelplate Nordic Centre offers the longest season in Canada on 56 km of beautifully groomed trails for classic and skate skiing.

  • Snowshoeing
  • One of the fastest growing snowsport adventures. Exercise in the fresh air while enjoying the natural beauty of Apex mountain. There are plenty of snow shoeing trails all over the resort from easy strollers to challenging hill climbs. This is a perfect way for outdoor enthusiasts to spend their day.

  • Hiking & Biking

In the summer, hike, bike or drive to beautiful Nickel Plate Lake. Just 6 kilometers from the resort, Nickel Plate combines the challenge of alpine fishing with the serenity of the mountains.
