Harrison Hot Springs

Take Hwy 9 into the District of Kent and the town of Agassiz, known as the 'Corn Capital of BC'. From Agassiz follow the signs to Harrison Hot Springs, a vacation destination situated on the shores of Harrison Lake, filled with natural wonders and a rich history. Two mineral hot springs with water ranging from 58 to 62 degrees C provide water to the public mineral hot pool and the Harrison Resort and Spa, which was the first hotel in the community and dates back to 1886. Harrison offers a small town atmosphere with a mix of quality accommodations to suit a variety of preferences and budgets: hotels, motels, B and B's, campgrounds, and RV parks. Once in town you will find numerous activities to keep the whole family busy, including boat tours, themed attractions, golf, hiking trails, fishing, agri-tours, heritage sites, and a wealth of water sports.

The natural beauty of Harrison is brought to life with its quality events and festivals. Visit anytime and you will be able to take pleasure in a vibrant array of festivals and community events. These include:

• The Tulips of the Valley Tulip Festival in April highlights over 35 acres of tulip fields in bloom for a three week period.
• The Tournament of Champions sand sculpture in May and World championship sand sculpture competition in September.  Sculptures from both events are on display until Thanksgiving in October.
• The Harrison Festival of the Arts in July is a celebration of music, theatre, dance and visual arts with a 30 year tradition.
• Slow Food Tour is a cycle tour of the 10 circle farm tour stops through the rural countryside surounding Harrison Hot Springs.  This takes place in August each year.
• Kilby Historic Site, a 1920's living history general store and farm with costumed interpreters, offers monthly special events such as antique car shows, childrens days, haunted Halloween tours, black powder days and more.
• Christmas Lights Festival in November is a weekend celebration to kick off the Christmas season with events for the whole family including the festival of trees, childrens activities, parade and musical entertainment.
