Westbridge is located in the Boundary Country of the Thompson Okanagan region of British Columbia. Hiking and biking are popular in the area with the nearby Trans Canada Trail that follows the Kettle River. Rainbow trout fishing also draws locals and visitors alike as does canoeing and kayaking with both calm waters for beginners and challenging rapids for experienced paddlers.
Located 13.5 km (8.4 mi) north of Rock Creek along Hwy 33.
In nearby Rock Creek and area a series of major and minor gold rushes began in 1859 bringing over 5,000 miners to the region during the ensuing 10 years. Then Governor James Douglas ordered the construction of the now-famous Dewdney Trail, going from the coast to the gold field just north of the border. Rock Creek became the supply centre for the Boundary Country.
