Located on the eastern shore of Lower Arrow Lake, Fauquier is a small community in the Arrow Lakes area of British Columbia’s Kootenay Rockies region. It is the eastern terminal for the Needles Cable Ferry, a free five minute ride that carries both passengers and vehicles. The Arrow Lakes is well known for excellent fishing and boating and there is plenty of hiking and other outdoor activities in the area.

Location

Fauquier is 57 km (35 mi) south of Nakusp and 22 km (13.5 mi) south of Burton on Hwy 6.

Lexw Qwò:m Park, Halq’emeylem for "always lots of moss" and pronounced luhw KWOM, is a smaller park with several trails, including the Thaletel (THA la tell) trail which climbs approximately 300 metres over three kilometres and ends at the main Community Forest parking lot.
