Located in Northern British Columbia in the Yellowhead Highway region, Summit Lake offers many outdoor activities including fishing, swimming, boating and other water sports. There are hiking trails leading to a view from Teapot Mountain. The Giscome Portage Trail leads to the Huble Homestead on the Fraser River where you can see a restored pioneer settlement and learn about the explorers, fur traders and original settlers in this area.
Summit Lake is 49 km (30 mi) north of the city of Prince George via John Hart Hwy 97 and a 3 minute drive west on Summit Lake Road.
